So this is my latest project. I made a build in HUD (Heads-Up Display) built into the dash bonnet and wired to the OBDII port in order to get data from the ECU. I used a OEM dash bonnet so fitment is spot on then finished with a carbon fiber wrap. Wiring is done so that it is hidden in the dash and out of sight. Also another plus is I added a switch to the HUD so you can turn it on and off if you don't want it on all the time. The HUD device itself is held in the slot but foam and the power cord for it. While protecting the display itself from dust and sunlight is a piece of one way acrylic sheet. The device itself is great. Very fine adjustability in case the readings on it mismatch the readings on the speedometer and tachometer. Adjustable brightness is nice as well. Another great feature is the RPM warning you can program so when you reach a certain RPM a sound and visual cue tells you you hit that RPM. I'm using it for around the redline so I can shift without needing to look at the tachometer when I want to do a pull. I was thinking about manufacturing and selling this setup and wanted to know if anyone would be interested in something like this. PM is interested!

Very cool -- any idea of what the cost might be if you do go into production.

What do you use as the display ?

Wow! This is actually awesome! Unbelievable work! If you ever decide to start making kits I would 100% be interested no matter the cost, because finding a good quality, hidden HUD for a car without it is impossible, as all the aftermarket HUDs look like absolute crap!

So it's wired directly to the obd I put so no worries about wireless connectivity issues? I

the software something custom or is it just an Android device with something similar to torque installed?

How are the settings you mentioned changed, touchscreen on the HUD or some other method? Not that you would be constantly changing settings but it would be annoying to have to wipe finger marks off the screen protector everytime.

Also very interested.

Really cool the way it displays "Nails Spa" towards the top of the windshield. ;)

This is fantastic news. Now my girlfriend will want it too!

Edit: also just realized that OP has only one post and hasn’t been active since that post. Boooooooo. I actually wanted one of these. Dream killer.

I feel OP was shopping this idea to us and has now gone to figure out the rest of his marketing/production. I hope so, anyway. I'd definitely buy one.
