So this is my latest project. I made a build in HUD (Heads-Up Display) built into the dash bonnet and wired to the OBDII port in order to get data from the ECU. I used a OEM dash bonnet so fitment is spot on then finished with a carbon fiber wrap. Wiring is done so that it is hidden in the dash and out of sight. Also another plus is I added a switch to the HUD so you can turn it on and off if you don't want it on all the time. The HUD device itself is held in the slot but foam and the power cord for it. While protecting the display itself from dust and sunlight is a piece of one way acrylic sheet. The device itself is great. Very fine adjustability in case the readings on it mismatch the readings on the speedometer and tachometer. Adjustable brightness is nice as well. Another great feature is the RPM warning you can program so when you reach a certain RPM a sound and visual cue tells you you hit that RPM. I'm using it for around the redline so I can shift without needing to look at the tachometer when I want to do a pull. I was thinking about manufacturing and selling this setup and wanted to know if anyone would be interested in something like this. PM is interested!
