Maybe you can add an extra caliper and keep the original for parking brake only.
You don't like the looks of the sliding caliper and think that having two calipers on the rear would look better?

It looks awesome and you can keep the oem handbrake. Like this NSX:

Sorry, but I think it'd look ridiculous if you did that on a Civic. I think it looks kinda ridiculous on expensive supercars but at least it fits those vehicles' image.

I would be interested in a full replacement as well. Not two on one rotor though lol.

It was the first thing I changed when I brought it home. Figured the best time to get paint in it was before it got coated in brake dust. I think it massively improved the look.

The rear disc brakes incorporate 12.0-inch diameter solid rotors (0.43-inch rotor thickness) paired with single-piston brake calipers.
Well, the car shows its economy car roots.. single sliding rear calipers and solid rear rotors.

Considering the cars heavy front bias (62/38) its the fronts that do the yeomans work. The rears slow the car a little but more likely should be consider "stabilizers" to make sure the rear follows the front.

Porsche has the same issue on the Macan. The Audi Q5 its based on has poopy rear brakes like the CTR.. and its too cost prohibitive to change them out.

All that said, I agree that it "cheapens" the look of the Halo Civic

FoRS and Golf R uses the same non-Brembo, mismatched rear brake setup so at least the CTR is not the only one guilty of this.

Wonder if the rear brake calipers on the evo or sti will work on the type R with maybe a new custom pins to mount it on.

They might fit but I doubt you'll be able to retain the electronic park brake.

Funny you mentioned that, I may or may not have a complete set of EVO X Brakes sitting in my garage. Just waiting for a little time to take the wheels off and take measurements. Don’t get your hopes up though lol.

You can always put on Ebay Brembo covers for the rear brakes.

I recognize your name from the evo forums. If you’re the same guy. Still have the evo?

That does look good! Where did you get the paint from in order to do this?
