I wish this wasn't my first post...

This group has been hugely informative, and Friday afternoon i was able to make a deal on a brand new 2021 CTR in Championship White. I really loved my 220 mile trip home. Then I did a 45 mile round trip to the airport. All good.

My next startup it threw 12 Codes! Emissions, rev match, adaptive hill climb, braking this, braking that, lane assist, headlights, etc., etc.

I'm really not looking forward to leaving it with another dealer. Things can only go wrong...scratches, stripped parts, etc. I'm pretty OCD, and my 2012 Shelby GT500 never saw the inside of a dealership.

Any ideas, or has anyone else suffered this issue? 282 miles total and absolutely bone stock.

Thanks in advance.

It is pretty disappointing, but it's just stuff. The car buying experience was great and the car is what I have looked forward to for two years. Hopefully it is easy.

I will add it has gone into a limp mode that limits revs to 3k and the dash is lit up with every icon.

Install dash cam. Bring it to dealer because it’s within bumper to bumper warranty.

Scan for the error code (if the check engine light is on).

Cheap OBD scanner says P0335 Crankshaft position sensor A Circuit. Also restarting it, only Emissions and Rev Match systems failures are showing now. Wiring?

Check wiring harnesses for damage from rodents. Where did you park the car?

Very possibly. You need to get the car to a dealer.

(I'm no fan of dealers either.)

If it's rodent damage, it happened in 2 days in my sealed garage. Not likely. We've had 3 cars stored in this garage for 5 years and it's never happened before. Not saying it couldn't, but I would think it is low likelihood in 2 days when in 5 years it never happened.

Yes. I am bringing it in tomorrow. Was told they didn't have any slots, but would try to get to it.

Take it to the dealer ASAP. This should not be your headache so early into ownership.

So that code is super likely to be a wiring/wiring harness issue. And I know the OP says rodent damage is unlikely, but still, if they did sneak in and munch away on some tasty soy, the repair won't be free, unfortunately.

I've seen dozens of reports here at Civicx of rodent causing all kinds of electronic havoc.

We did have another Honda , an Odyssey in the garage for 5 years.

Just heard from the dealer. They think crank position sensor. Part won't be in until Friday. They are not sure that this is all that as wrong. Won't know till Friday.

Oooof.

Hendrick Honda in Pineville/Charlotte. Seems good so far.

Wife has been using Rock Hill Honda and when I called them and told them the issue, the response was "OK?". I then asked if I could bring it in first thing and the answer was: "you can bring it in, but we won't be able to get to it very quickly."
