Ok so this is my first turbo car. My boost gauge has never gone over +8 I’ve had the car for three weeks bought it new with 6 miles on it and under power till about 4500 rpm the boost gauge is still reading - to maybe +2 or +3. This doesn’t seem right to me but can’t find to much of anything while searching. Will try to take a video today of dash with tech and boost gauge. Is this normal?

What elevation are you at?

Very roughly speaking +8 psi of boost would render ca. 220 ft lbs of torque vs 310 it should be making in OEM spec. Under WOT @3000+ rpm you should at the very least be seeing 16 psi, so something does not seem right.

Maybe he's meaning in bars? If thats PSI either you haven't really ever pushed the pedal down or something's broken.

In bars boost should reach 1.2-1.6 at WOT, no idea what's goin' there, but let's wait for that video from the OP.
