Your good! I got some solid data. Did you take a look? I'll be posting another with more overlay, like boost and rpm.

I had the Boomba BOV on my Fiesta ST and it didn't seem to have any negative effects; the car was also speed density from the factory. I also had a WRX in the past and they can run stupid rich with a BOV, even a 50/50, to the point that the car will run like shit and can cause problems like increased cylinder wall wear over time. I converted my WRX to speed density and had it dyno tuned and AFR would only dip as low as 11:1 between shifts whereas it would dip to about 8:1 with MAF based fueling. Can anyone confirm if the 10th gen civic and Si are fueling based on MAF or MAP. That's what would really determine if a BOV is safe on our cars.

Thanks! GFB makes good upgraded BPV's, if they are going to make one for our cars. Is the BPV built into the turbo on our cars like on most newer OEM turbos?

Wrx's are also known to be crazy finicky when it comes to performance parts. A simple upgrade such as an intake can cause them to backfire/ run rich

Amen to that, even a high flow filter can cause issues on those cars without a tune. And they are very knock limited, I think I was only running 12 degrees of timing at peak torque. Anyway lets not get off topic, this is the civic X forum after all lol. I wonder how the 1.5T will be with knock when going full bolt on, it's not like there's much more room for the stock turbo without bottlenecking

There is not near enough data displayed to arrive at the conclusion that your BOV stays within "safe parameters".

Why didn't you include boost levels, throttle position, and time duration?
Ok, as promised, here are the air fuel ratios with a boomba BOV.

Red shows us the air fuel ratios the computer is trying to maintain (commanded)

Green is actual air fuel. It does drop to a 9.0, but for around 10 milliseconds.

The purple is boost.

I just wanted to take unbiased information and post it here for personal interpretation.

And here is with the stock BPV for comparison...

I'd say that it's crazy how unstable the air fuel ratios are with the boomba BOV. Even when it is not releasing pressure. You can see a lot of spikes when the BOV was installed.

Here, the air fuel ratios are very stable, and never drop below 10:1.

Again,
Red is commanded air fuel by computer
Green is actual air fuel
Purple is boost pressure

Also note how the base boost readings are lower without the BOV. Most likely why others were seeing stalling/ hesitation.

With the BOV uninstalled I personally can feel a difference between shifts where power was lost with the boomba BOV
