I haven't been able to find a black shifter knob for the Type R. I'm not a big fan of the chrome, and I feel like it sorta sticks out like a sore thumb. Does anyone know where you can find a black shifter knob? Thanks!

Thanks so much! I love all these. I'm going to have to make the necessary changes then!

Researching the red Mugen shift knob mentioned in another post, I found they also make a black one, which looks tempting to me.

I think that was one of the cheaper options too. Really considering that one. Can't stand the chrome. Doesn't fit, at all. I wish they would've done the carbon fiber look to match the rest of the paneling in the car

All Type Rs from the original EK9 to the NSX and Integra models have had brushed aluminum shifts knobs. Honda’s big on tradition.

Just pulled the trigger and bought one on ebay for a little over $80. Hopefully it's real and not a knockoff (fingers crossed). The seller had a picture of the Mugen box and the correct part number. Also I saw that some of the really cheap knockoffs have 4 seams and the picture from the seller and Mugen shows 3. Should get it by next week and will post pic.

Definitely interested in your impressions when it arrives. Hope it works out!

Love the look and feel of the new knob. It's about the same size of the OEM knob and slightly heavier. I thought the OEM was a bit too slippery. The leather definitely helps with the grip. Highly recommended!
