I just bought some TE37SL's (18x9.5" +45mm offset) with the intention to stick some all-seasons on. Which ones come as close to summer performance as possible? Living in Texas, the only reason I'm looking for AS over summers is due to the occasional <40 degree weather since I don't plan on driving in snow/ice.

Also, should I be looking at 255/40/18 tires, or is there any other sizes that may be better? I plan on leaving my car at stock height. Keeping an accurate speedo/odo is important to me, so I wanted to keep it as close as possible unless other measurements make a big positive difference in feel.

Bridgestone RE980AS+. Much, MUCH better feel & feedback than the Michelin AS4 I had on the car previously.
