Best/Favorite color for Type R?

I've decided to get a Type R, but cannot decide on color... What's your favorite color and why?

I currently have a 2017 Civic Si in black, and I'm pretty sure I don't want another black car (will be my daily driver and I drive 25k-30k mi/year). My dealer will have a white one soon, and white is fine - but I'm not 100% sure that's what I want. I need some peer-pressure.

You can't go wrong with PMM. It has a ton of metallic, shines like a diamond when clean and hides dirt pretty decent.

I personally don't like the red pinstripes on the PMM however. I'm gonna cover mine as soon as the weather allows.

I have a RR CTR but if I had the chance to choose a color, it would be CW just because any color wheel would look good on the car lol.

RR . Make other drivers break thier necks lol red definitely stands out if you like the extra attention .

I have a CBP and I absolutely do not recommend it unless you like to clean your car all the time or are ok with it being dirty all the time. Pretty much as soon as you pull that thing out of the garage it's going to get dirty; however, in the rare moments that it is clean it looks stunning.

I don’t think there is a wrong (right?) answer here because all Type Rs look good in any color.

Personally, I have a championship white and it is stunning in the sunlight. Just look at it!


My only issue with white is that dirt is so fast to accumulate on this car - if you get really close to it you can see the nasties on my paint. I have never washed a car by hand (don’t shoot) but I think I’m going to take the time to learn because honestly I don’t trust automated car washes with all of the aero bits and what not.

My first color choice was Rallye Red, which is a pure standout color. I think that red just pops out (which may not be the best thing if you pass a cop) but I am perfectly happy with my championship white.

I realize purists have to have white but the fact so many are white makes it a “me too” color. I think the red stands out and is less common.

after going to all these meets, honestly, ANY color. I used to be fixed on CW, but now that I have one, looking at other colors in person makes me want one of them. Black looks soo nice! So does blue and red. Not to mention Pmm. lol

I must say that PMM shows much more dirt than I expected. We also have a 2017 Accord with Modern Steel Metallic and that one shows much less dirt. To be fair, I have owned my CTR only during winter, so let's see what happens once there are no more salt and slush.

Silver is the best color for hiding dirt but I’m not sure if that’s a color that would look good on this car.
