What is going on? We are looking at $4 a gallon summertime prices. I know the globalists will hop in here and say "Be glad we pay Something a liter". If you know how America works a lot of rural places in America travel 30 min + to work and back...

Those take insane amount of Mileage on your vehicles, and in the Capitalist society most of our goods and services travel truck to truck....those affect Consumerist prices as well.

This is not a good thing people........Keep your eye on the economy.

I'm definitely happy I went with the Civic. It was one of the big reasons for me getting mine. I was coming from a 2003 which was pretty good on gas for an older car.

But you being in the DMV area means everything is pricey. I'm in west Texas and regular at Costco is currently around $2.60.

The puppet in office has the most to do with it. Happy to live where I do. Gas prices are only up about 5%

30+ mpg has spoiled me so far. I was window shopping for my future car and i found myself not interested in anything that would do less 30+mpg ;)

Oh man, I was just complaining about this to myself upon filling up the tank on my Sentra. Just put my Civic in storage and started daily driving my project car. Paid $4.20 per gallon.

*sigh* What poor timing I have. Probably going to yank the Civic out of storage at the end of month.

Wonder what the current culture of suv owners think? Not to throw shade given that's their vehicle of choice.. I remember the 2008 prices during the financial crisis for a gallon of gas being $4+..

I wonder if this will be a wakeup call to save the last remaining "cars" on the road and not convert entirely over to crossovers and SUV's like Ford and other manufacturers are doing.. I looked at Chevys lineup, and they only have the Malibu and Spark left ( not counting Corvette and Camaro ) or the hybrids / electrics. its rather sad that the day of the 4 door sedan may be coming to an end.

Agreed. My vehicle before my current Civic (Caddy SRX) averaged about 15MPG on a good week. Glad I'm no longer driving it.

I've seen gas already creep to $4 for 93 in spots here. I'm glad I have my Mazda that runs on 87 and is more fuel efficient than my CTR which required 91 (but here we really only see 93).

yea and its hard to compete when the 4 door sedan is actually cheaper than the coupe's with more doors and easier access and more storage area .. and 1 measily little MPG higher too.

Well to update, premium 93 here is now $6.08 pg. To run my tune or not to? The force to electric is strong.
A big FU to whoever responsible for this massive inflation!

91 costs about $6.19 - $ 6.89 here in Socal. I still see people commuting in their F150 raptors. My hatch has been getting 40+ mpg. so.....i am pretty blessed.
