I got an email from a company called Luften Brakes.

They apparently have custom BBK applications for our Gen X civics. I contacted them and they are willing to make a set for me.

Now I just need to decide whether or not I wanna drop thousands on a brake kit . LOL

Have you heard from any other brake companies about making a kit for our cars?

I think..aesthetically...our brakes are TINY. they just look weird. so its mainly for aesthetics.

I would definitely like to have a brake kit. Stock brakes aren't going to cut it. I already have some serious brake fade issues on my hatch.

Have you tried better brake pads?

All make kits for the civic X

Unless you are tracking the car all you really need are upgraded pads and possibly SS brake lines.

I installed R1 Concepts Drilled/Slotted rotors and ceramic pads. It made so much of an improvement over stock you definitely won't need anything more. Best part ~$430 for it all...

Im on my second set of pads. On track my brake temps hover around 415 degrees. My main issue is dissipating heat.

This is shameless, I know, but the main reason why I want BBK's is simply because they just look cooler.

Any extra stopping power is just a plus at that point.

415F? That still seems in the range of hybrid street/track pads. Have you tried non-oem pads?
