Not sure if this is a fuel thing though. I understand how the knock works but I’m running 94 on E98 and she’ll climb. Unfortunately. But I mean have a look out and see. Always worth a shot.

I believe Vit said that the max Ethanol that the car should be running is E40 is the max that these cars can run and after that, the power curve will taper off if using KTuner. Hondata claims that they can run E80 with their Hondata basemap.

Yes it is
No idea what’s causing those readings. Post a datalog so we can take a look at what might be factors in that.

Is everyone experiencing high kcntrl running a CVT? Maybe the engine reacts differently under load with the CVT?

Honestly I’m not sure though. Every time I’ve seen my knock control rise to numbers above .60 it’s always been the tune upset because the 91 I pumped with was trash. That’s why I started pumping 93 and above or doing ethanol blends to get there. I wanna say it’s fuel but there are plenty of other factors that could be causing it. Maybe @KTuner can chime in on these claims of base 1.5T having high kcntrl?

did a pull earlier while driving home, kcontrol start at .54 while crusing at 50mph, WOT up to 90mph then let off to 70mph then got back on and held rpn at 3k at 80mph, kcontrol climbed to .64 and held steady there. dropped back to .54 after crusing for 5mins

Thanks for your response. It may be the fuel, but isn’t the Shell 91 a good one!? Should I blend 91 and 101 race fuel? There are some stations here having it. I will upload another video that shows increase in knock again while having throttle at 30%, not even accelerating quickly.
Shell has been a mixed bag from reports of those who use it. Did you try a different brand yet?

Have you tried without quick adjustments applied? Any difference?

I run Mobil 93 octane near sea level EXT-6MT vittuned. Knock control stays between 49-55 especially in cooler weather. I've seen it go up into the 60's when Iats get over 130 and in 90 degree heat.

Agree with the shell being a mixed bag statement. It was better then quiktrip 91 here in Kansas City. But with both I don’t think I was actually pumping 91 octane because during normal driving I would sit at .55 and just giving it a little gas caused kcntrl to rise.

I’ve had a similar experience with 93. Never over mid 60s though.

I will reflash to stage 2 and try it again. Will take a video again for proof.
Try starter 21 with no additional changes.

Facts are fine. I don't need a video.

In case anybody wants to check the videos,
Starter 21 60-120mph roll:
I have to admit that Kcon went back to .6 after a minute or two. Much faster than previous tunes.
Could be a CVT thing and your temps seem pretty high driving at night.
