Hello,
I just noticed on the eTrailer site that the Draw-Tite hitch (24954) is "confirmed to fit" a 2017 civic sedan without center exhaust.

I don't think this was "confirmed" when I checked a few months ago.

Has anyone installed this hitch on a 2017 sedan?

I know there is a thread for someone who installed the 2016 version on his 2016 sedan. It looks good.

I wonder if it performs well, scrapes going up or down hills?

Thanks,
Barry.

It looks like pretty much the same install with a similar receiver (small change). This is a replacement of the 2016 version and fits the 2016 as well:
24954 Draw-Tite Class 1 Trailer Hitch Receiver - Sportframe - 1-1/4"
Replaces 24937,24946
The only difference I can find is the receiver cutout is taller so either the positioning is slightly different or the tongue of the receiver was beefed up a bit more.

Regardless, I don't see why this would scrape. You'd have to be on a pretty aggressive incline to get anywhere close to bottom this out by the looks of it (the old one).
