Can someone chime in, is this the SPIDIF connector? If I connect it to a DSP that can read SPIDIF (Helix DSP ultra) will it be able to read the siganal? Or is the AXDSP-NH3 the only way to go?

per the service manual that IS the SPDIF cable/ connector.
anyone know if there is a connector for that to turn into a regular coax cable? i do not want to cut any wires, and i think that is a FAKRA connector.

Ok it is the SPDIF. My installer managed to create this connector, today we will see if the DSP can read the audio.

It will not work. I am pretty sure people tried it in this tread and failed. Also, I am sure it was mentioned a few times in this tread, but the audio isn't just over the SPDIF, there are some analog audio lines for nav prompts, beeps, etc that need to be blended. It is not a standard SPDIF signal. Right now the only option is the AXXESS piece if you don't want to wait for the Maestro one.

From what my installer is saying right now it does work, the audio comes through. I am using a Helix Ultra DSP, read that these DSP can read mixed SPDIF and analog.
But anyway, the DTS and SVC are not important to me.
As for volume, tone, balance and fader, those can be controlled by the remote control that Helix DSP has.

The echo is because any DSP doing time delay is delaying the phone call audio and the car is expecting it earlier so it's not cancelling out the sound. The only way to get rid of the echo is to get rid of the time delay. If your DSP has the ability to save preset 'profiles' with different EQ, time alignment, etc. you can simply save one with no time alignment and then switch to that when on a phone call

is the hn-3 still available. I have a 2020 sport sedan than I wanted to put a stereo into. I was just going to buy an audison apf8.9 because I assumed it would flatten the signal.

Has anyone successfully fully installed the Axxess AXDSPL-HN3 kit with no audio anomalies and proper operation of the headunit (sans navi-who uses that anyway) and BT (My Apple watch does phone calls-I have an iPhone in the glovebox for Music). Also, does the DSP work fully?
