Audio quality between Touring and non-Touring trims

Has anyone had a chance to experience the differences between the audio quality between the two trims? I believe the touring's 450 watt and all others (sans the LX) are 180 watt setups.

I don't feel like I have a need for sensing, so the only reason I'd move up to the Touring is for the audio system.

I did like the system in the EX -T I drove. I was able to adjust the sound to where I liked it and could turn it way up. I too am wanting to hear the Touring.

I've tried both.
The EX sound system is pretty decent imo.
I bought the touring and am really impressed with the sound system, though the subwoofer is a bit overkill given how much it rattles when turned up.

Yeah. The standard controls you'd expect.
Treble. Bass. L/R. Back front. Etc.

If it's anything at all like other Honda products, the sub is in the rear deck and the rear deck cover is rattling against a lip in the sheetmetal. There are two options to fix it: remove the plastic deck cover in its entirety and put some Dynamat or cheap carpeting cut to fit on the sheetmetal, or stuff a sock in it. Literally. From the trunk, you'll be able to see some access points up underneath the rear deck. Feel around inside until you find a pinch point, usually towards the front of the car from the access point. Take an old (clean) sock or rag and stuff it into that pinch point. It might take some finagling, but it'll go in. Then turn up your bass with impunity.

There is also a separate adjustment for sub-woofer volume which is helpful.

I drove both and I thought the EX system was really pretty good. Obviously not the super low end bass but the bass coming from the speakers in the doors combined with the tweeters up front was actually pretty impressive.

That's encouraging! I can practically rule out audio now as a factor. Now it's down to deciding between leather and cloth interior.

I am torn between the EXL with Navigation and the Touring model. I can live without all the extra options on the Touring but want the upgraded stereo. I will have to wait until the dealership has both trims in stock and just try bot

In the inventories I've been watching, the EX-L has been very scarce so far and I don't think I've seen a single EX-LN.

Oh, and FYI, I've compiled what I think is a composite difference list EX-L to Touring. Touring adds:

Honda Sensing
satellite-linked navigation system w/ Honda HD digital traffic
LED headlights
heated outboard rear seats
front passenger's seat with 4-way power adjustment
450-Watt premium audio system with 10 speakers, including subwoofer
rain-sensing windshield wipers
enhanced VR command support
chrome door handles
side mirrors with memory and integrated LED turn indicators
specific decklid badging
specific wheels​

The mirror memory part, though published in several Honda press releases, seems to be doubtful at best.

I have been told that dealers in North Texas are getting more inventory starting right after Thanksgiving. I want to compare EXL with Navi to Touring

Did I read you can change out the headlights on an EXL for LED headlights ?

And I wonder if you can upgrade the speakers in an EXL ?

The physical size of the headlights look the same, but we'd probably have to mess with the electrical connectors. Only downside is each LED headlight costs $450 so it would be an expensive experiment if for some reason it isn't swappable.
