Curious about the spacers for the arp head studs. Why are they used? I have a set of hayabusa head studs which is what is used. I compared and they seem like it would work with just the nuts and washers supplied with it. Please some one let me know. I’m sure there’s a very good reason. Thanks!

I think I figured it out after looking at it. Is it because of the actual stop on the studs? The bolts can screw in quite far. Studs can only go a set distance. ??‍♂

It looks like there is more thread range on the bolts so they can be tightened further, the studs will bottom out and you could run out of thread.

Is that the maperformance head stud kit?
Nah, I got a good ass deal on the studs on eBay. They’re just busa studs. I want to use a bigger nut like eman uses but he never replies ?

I haven't had any issues running this with the extra washer. Send it bro.
I run my boost in the mid 30s.

Sorry, where are the spacers/washers supposed to go? I'm confused about how different the sizes of these things are.

I wouldn't even use it. Cause the fewer threads you have the stud sitting in, the easier it'll be to lift/pull/rip out of the block due to excessive stresses/boost/head lift. Then you'll have to disassemble the whole block, repair and Helicoil that stripped hole.. etc. It'll become a mess as a whole. But really tho. Save your 'busa studs for anything but that Civic motor or you'll hate yourself in the long run when it goes badly, and just get the right ones for your specific engine.

There is no "right ones" for this motor though. The only kit available is Busa ARP studs + spacers/washers/large nuts.
