So my iPhone 7 when connected via USB to my 2016 EX-T just started acting odd today. I was using Apple Maps, and getting notified for each turn all while listening to a playlist. When my map would ding for a turn the music would stop. Now, normally the music would dip in volume and come back up. This time the music would just stop. Anyone else experience this?

I would also like to mention that the map's audio prompts were turned off. And my phone was in silent mode.

Were you listening to a playlist that is downloaded into your phone, or was the music being streamed? Might have just been a weak connection problem.

OK, so I discovered the problem. My phone was able to connect to my system via Bluetooth before I had a chance to plug in the usb. So I was able to get Carplay to work, but the audio was still routed via bluetooth. So everything is fine now. I just disconnected my bluetooth connection via the iPhone.
