I'm looking into this now as well. I've never liked the Oem edge trim, and not sure if I need a plastic wrap.

When our Acura was in the body shop we were shown all the choices.
We put clear appliqué on the tailgate that sometimes comes into contact with the garage door.
We put the more substantial U-shape in clear on the door edges.

Having door edging will protect the door edge paint if you park in tight spaces with concrete or stucco pillars when opening your door and will protect an adjacent car from your door dinging it. If you are prone to fling your doors open it will help.

Hi,

I tried with the second link and final result is satisfactory.

Product quality is top notch and it fits our Civic, I have ordered 4 Mt and its sufficient for all the 4 doors till sides only. It won't sufficient If you want to cover bottom part also.

As mentioned in the Amazon reviews the product is mix of plastic and internal metal so its rigid and and fixed tightly to the door.

I feel its no looking odd on my Aegean blue but may differs with other colors.

I got my first edge door scratch this week but not bad for owning it now for 2 months.

We had OEM installed when we bought our '12 Si - DBP color-matched perfectly and no chips in 5 1/2 years.
Well worth the cost/benefit.
