Anyone ran 245/35 or 255/35 tires instead of the 30 series instead yet?

A wider and taller tire might be a bit harder to break loose in 3rd gear, so that is a benefit. Also, although the speedometer may not be accurate, you may actually find it's faster to 60 since you can easily do it in 2nd gear without having to bang the rev limiter.
Ok I do like the stock wheels and probably plan to keep them but not a fan of the thin tires. Was just wondering if anyone tried 245/35 or 255/35 tires on the stock wheels yet? It will give about 1 inch more of rubber protection and comfort compare to the stock ones and with stock height Iā€™m pretty sure there wonā€™t be any rubbing issues and maybe even with a slight 1 inch drop in the future it should be fine. I do understand it will be bigger and the speedometer will be off a lil with bigger diameter wheels.
A bit late to the party but Iā€™ve attached a couple pics of the FR and RR stock wheels wrapped with 245/35 20 Continental Extreme Contact DWS06. No TPMS light, rubbing or any issues. It appears comparable to the 30 series rubber; profile wise. I was a bit cautious at first but donā€™t have any worries meow. Cheers!

Do you think there's enough room for 255/35 20 size tire?

Iā€™ve attached a screenshot of the difference in measurements between my tire size and 255/35 208&&&@

Going by the numbers, it shouldnā€™t make a big difference to the point of rubbing. With that said, Iā€™d hate for you to buy the tires and experience rubbing. I canā€™t tell you how much full suspension travel will impact running a 255 width tire. It is a gamble but I donā€™t foresee you running into issues. As long as you use the stock wheels or maintain the stock offset for the wheels, you ā€˜shouldā€™ be good to go. I know this doesnā€™t give you an exact answer but hopefully it allows you to consider the variables before pulling the trigger.

I've got a few months until I need them. If nobody gets tires on by then, I'll try them out.

I just ordered some Kumho ECSTA PS91's(Poor mans Michelin Pilot Super Sport) in 255/35/20. They have them for a steal right now on Amazon for anyone that needs new tires for OEM wheels... $113/tire is pretty cheap.

Less that $500 per set for Ultra High Performance Summer tires is a huge win IMO. This is the cheapest size I could find in this tire so I'm glad it works on the factory FK8 wheels. See TireRack comparison review here...

What AS performance tires have people tried on the CTR stock rims? Doesn't seem to be many choices from my research.

The Continental DWS06ā€™s are the ones on my stock CTR rims right now. Iā€™m using 245/35 20 though. Youā€™re right saying that there limited AS options if you opt to maintain the 30 profile.

Do those work well? I thought about getting a set but I heard that if the total diameter (or something) increases more than 2% itā€™s risky running it on that set of wheels. The increase with the 245/35/20 was 3.7% so I didnā€™t want to take a chance with it.

Iā€™ve had no issues since I had them installed about a month ago. No rubbing at full lock at either direction and Iā€™ve driven over some noticeably uneven surfaces with questionable dips on the highway and local roads and have yet to experience rubbing. I checked the sidewalls of all four tires a few days ago and didnā€™t see any damage. Unless those calculators or someone can produce physical evidence of rubbing or damage to the fenders and tires, Iā€™ll stick with my setup for now. Donā€™t believe all that FAKE NEWS man. Cheers!

What do you mean?
Thatā€™s what I read online... Iā€™m not a tire or wheel expert so I donā€™t know if itā€™s true or not.

Good to know! I was considering these once the OEM ones are about to go and I didnā€™t want to replace the OEM wheels because I love the red pinstripe on them. I wish Honda made a 19 set of these wheels so there was a bit more of a selection for all weather climates.

Have you had a chance to mount the tires. Would like to hear back your experience on how they handle and also if any rubbing issues.
