I played it awhile back and like it a lot... and I tend to hate turn based combat games, even ones that are story-centric. I’m pretty sure I got The Fractured But Whole around Christmas for just a few dollars. Haven’t tried it yet but I bet it’s at least as good as the first.

just looking to see if anyone shares any video games I play. NHL 19, warframe, GTA. Etc.

GTA V for PC. I don't usually play online though - I just kill people.

I used to just use PC for BBSes and then Internet for many years and the odd game, but rely on a console for larger gaming and titles. Atari, NES, SNES, Playstation.. But then PCs were so powerful and video cards were kicking the snot out of any console around. I stopped buying consoles by Playstation 2 and my PC has an RTX 2080 card, so it's no slouch.

Having said that, I am going to preorder the PS5 and get back into console a bit. I'm quite sick of waiting 2-years to get the title released for PC when consoles have them already, and then I also like Gran Turismo, to which GT4 is outdated now on the PS2. Though I did play a bit of GT2 last night, its graphics on a 4k TV are really, really awful. haha.

gaming laptop 1080 gtx 16gb unfortunately mine has a 4k display at only 60 hz.. still better than any console.

i also like xbox waiting to see what the scarlett specs will be like

60 hz is fine. I don't know why people complain about it. Most games beyond 60 frames look worse because they have to drop quality to get higher frame rates. I hit 59-60 fps with GTA V on my PC and it's at full quality, 16:9 2048x1152 native on my Samsung 23". While I wouldn't mind higher frame rates, considering BluRay is 24 fps and we don't bitch about that and we used to HOPE we could render good graphics at 30 fps 10-years ago, you're still well seated with 60. Not a big deal.

I mostly waste it on fortnite. occasionally play COD or fallout 76... impatiently waiting for something good to come out. Really hoping that anthem will be great.

With a GTX 1070? We definitely know where the bottleneck is in that machine. Is that just a carryover component?

I have a long history of gaming, going back to NHL94 on the Genesis. Now, I own an XB1, but I don't find myself playing it as much as I used to - largely because my kids are on it frequently. Social distancing means they get a lot more playing time these days than they used to. Also have an aging PC that I've used to dabble in MMOs and a few other titles (most recently, the Mass Effect series).

Myst - what a classic. Prior to that, there were plenty of games I really enjoyed - but I think Myst was the first one that truly blew my mind. It may not look very impressive compared to today's titles, but Myst made me realize how amazing the medium of video games could be. Similarly, VR is an entirely new level.

Believe it or not I actually called in sick for work just to play myst all day also when I bought tomb raider III it would be cool if they made a VR version of myst and Tron

I do believe it. We had this girl working in the call centre I had worked in 12-years ago whom had a mint body and she got addicted to World of Warcraft, called in sick every day for 2-months straight. When she came back to work, she was so fat. Hahaha.
