Can’t find anything online that answers my question but I’m hardwiring LED footwell strips to an add-a-circuit in the fuse box and I just need to know if I can run the negative lead from the LED strip to a ground bolt without issues

Yeah, shouldn't be a problem. A ground is a ground. I don't have any experience specifically w/ LED lighting in cars, but I've done enough other random electrical stuff.

It'll be fine. Just make sure it's a good ground. I have some LEDs wired in my footwells. I used a bolt that I found under the steering column and another under the glove compartment for a ground.
