I've only had this Honda for a year and a little under 7K miles, so my experience is limited with this one. But Hondas in general? I've had great experiences. This is my 4th Honda vehicle (3 Civics and an Accord) and I have a Honda motorcycle. They've all treated me well. No complaints and nothing but regular maintenance.

I want a pickup truck at some point. I wish Honda made one that didn't look like a minivan with the rear roof chopped off. Lol.

that should not be considered "luck"

that should be an expectation in my opinion

your expectations are alot lower than mine are,

when i buy a brand new car, i EXPECT it to go AT LEAST 50,000 miles without any issues, especially the way i take care of mine
You're absolutely right, but I'm seeing a lot of complaints of noises under the hood, AC's going out, oil dilution, and other things that are happening at less than 20k, so I'm considering myself lucky in that sense

You dont't even have the "whining AC" issue or rattles in the cabin?
Btw the lower the trim level the less issues you might experience. The EU cars have auto idle Stop/Start and parking sensors (in base trim too) and I had problems with both systems.
I also had cracked windshield, but that was caused by a small stone. And my driver seat hight adjuster broke too. And had recall because of the fuel pump. And I still try to find a dealer that solves the whinig AC problem.

I can't wait to have such luck as I'm coming from two Ford Edges (2017 and 2018) SELs. Both Fords have suffered catastrophic failures of the transmissions, PTUs or engine. I'm done with FORD.

A little off topic, but I never till this day understand people who buy American vehicles outside of maybe their muscle/sports cars (Mustangs, Corvette, Challengers etc). Other brands just build much better quality vehicles.

I used to be a big American car enthusiast mostly mustangs Camaros and firebirds and others never a big Chrysler fan with the exception of a few 1964 to 1969 Plymouth barracuda 70 to 76 duster And dodge demon 71 72 and of cause a 1958 Fury and always have a likenesses for AMC vehicle’s and still do but just like every thing else America cars had their hay day But Japanese cars still maintain their reliability especially Honda I’ve had foreign cars since 2000 a 91 ford escort ( technically a Mazda) 2 Hyundai 1 VW and the Honda my 2018 civic EX 1.5 turbo coupe modern steel has 37k on it and zero problems for the two years I’ve owned it and very happy with it

53,000 miles on 2018 LX. Uneventful... and hope to keep it that way for tens of thousands of miles more?

Im thinking one of the above commenters is right, the less tech and bonuses you have, the less problems. Im seeing a lot of EX reporting electrical issues and whatnot. Ill stick with the LX

Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
Depends. Some consider a forum devoid of problem after problem as hampering social connection with fellow enthusiasts. How many buddies can you make helping you troubleshoot warning lights or replace broken parts when there is very little that goes wrong??

The good is your car works and doesn't encounter unexpected issues, I guess.....

In all seriousness, there are some really cool dudes and serious enthusiasts on the VW side lol alot really helped me out and taught me a ton about working on the car myself. Just nice to read a boring reliability thread as opposed to a more eventful one full of adventures galore.

I agree, I love that we can help each other and share experiences and not have to shell out money to a mechanic or call Honda every time something goes wrong. I am very fortunate that I have little to complain
