It's a tough one. I've just got normal fabric protection on the seats but of course that doesn't protect from wear and tear and I;m not a fan of seat protectors.

I had 20000km on my previous CTR and was very careful how I got in and out and it had no noticeable wear. Given my LE will see maybe 4000km a year and I'm even more careful I am just going to live with it. If a set of OEM seats came up second hand I might grab them.
Fabric protection, as in the good spray stuff? I do that every few months too, makes the seats like hydrophobic. But like you said, doesn't really protect from wear and tear like a physical cover would.

I was thinking of eventually looking for a set of backup seats as well but figure just paying an upholstery shop to redo them when the time comes would be cheaper. We'll see......maybe a decent looking low profile matching suede cover option will eventually come out :dunno:

Have sold parts to at least 2 LE owners I know, so there's definitely a market for modding them :)

I've seen several online being modified, including the one really popular full Catalog Mugen build in NY

Thank you for all the replies, It's good to hear all of the great ideas!!
Sounds like we should enjoy these cars and do things that make us happy while we try to preserve the car.
Either way this is a great dilemma to have. We are fortunate to have such cars.

What do you all think of Mugen 20" wheels? I don't mind the ride quality I just thought I can find a tire that is more comfortable and doesn't sling rocks? was thinking of having wheels that are also special for the car like the mugen.

I good idea is going with 19" ctr wheels. Anybody think of bronze/ gunmetal wheels or white wheels like the original type r? Just throwing things out for discussion.

Anybody running rock guards or rally armor? I know this takes away from the look a bit?

Thank you all!

I would varis widebody a LE if I had one ?
Just a car. Can't take it with you when you die. Just enjoy it.
Then why buy an LE. With the money you save from getting a regular R, use that money to get the widebody.
