Speed limit is 60mph for about 30 miles, then about 2 miles at 45mph, then 70mph the remaining 22 miles.@Ronin73
That's also impressive. What is the average speed you're driving on the highway?
Here, most Semis are doing between 53 and 56 mph and it's very annoying for them if you would drive any slower than that.
It's my 2017 Civic EX with 65000 miles. I only@Toyman
Wow those numbers are really impressive. Are you sure this is a Civic and not the Insight Hybrid?
What roads are you driving, highway mostly I guess? What speeds are you doing there? AC on or off most of the time and are you using cruise control a lot?
It's the 1.5 motor. I have a scooter that gets about 70 mpg and I'd drive that to work but I wouldn't save a whole lot more and I wouldn't be as comfortable driving a bike for my 2. 6 hour a day drive round trip. It's my 2017 Civic EX with 65000 miles. I onlyuse it to go to work, my drive to work is 59 miles one way, on a 5 day work week I drive almost 600 miles or one tank of gas. I drive country roads with very few stopping. My average speed is 40 mph with just over 14 hours a tank.my best one way is 64 mpg so under a gallon of gas for my 59 mile trip.
Not impressive, but I get tanks of mostly daily commutes of calculated ~40 MPG.Just curious if any other people are trying to get superb mpg's out of their Civic?
I believe bubbaleenc and ubercivic are 2 that I know of that are really good at efficient driving but was curious if anyone else here was in the 60+ mpg club.
That's not bad. It's a bit bitter better than the EPA rating (1.5Tubro CVT = 35 MPG combined city/highway), so I'd say 40 MPG is considered as hypermiling. Not impressive, but I get tanks of mostly daily commutes of calculated ~40 MPG.
