It's conjecture. It's currently closed through April 6.

However, if this drags on for longer (and because of the UK's inept handling of the crisis, it likely will), then I could see this dragging on long enough for Honda to wonder if re-opening Swindon just to shut it down at the end of the year is even worth it.

Don't think so. Am not sure they've really started building them yet.

I mean the Honda website has the 2020 Civic type R front and center. I believe it is an in transit issue more than enough built issue, shipping is the problem. Who knows we can only hope and wait.

I highly doubt they have a ton built as all the parts for the 2020’s are on backorder also in the US. The CTR wasn’t front and center on Honda’s website until February 28th and I signed up for the “keep me informed” from the Honda site and have yet to hear anything in regards to information on the 2020 or 2021LE.

I'm pretty sure some are already built. Some dealers are supposed to be getting them in April. I can't find a boost blue one on the west coast, might have to spring for the black one.

Originally they were suppose to be hitting dealerships as early as the end of February. There's no production or shipping or anything from the UK until 4/6 minimum when they decide what's going on in Swindon.

Just being realistic with the information that’s out there. I have friends that live in the UK and they are even highly doubting for a reopening on 4/6. I wish everyone already had theirs that ordered. This is a bad situation for everyone not just those waiting on their new CTRs. I’d be totally upset had I not secured the 2020 released accessories I wanted on 2/28.
