You guys have the option of ordering a type R? I've emailed everyone Honda dealer in my state and four surrounding ones and they all pretty much told me they get whatever Honda gives them. If they get one in the color I want they'll email me.
My friend works there but I did have to put a deposit down. They swapped the CW they were getting for the Sonic Grey I want. Ordered 1/28

As far as I know, people stating they've 'ordered' a Type-R have actually just reserved their dealership's allocations. I had reserved the first 2020 CW that my dealership would have received, but I backed out when I found a slightly used 2019 SGP.

The is my understanding of how the allocation process works. Even the dealer I bought mine from, was told that unless they sold the 3 they had, they weren't getting any 2020s until the 19s were gone. I got my 2019 SGP, straight off the truck, for $34,257.

Mad jealous. That's awesome. They got me for $500 over sticker and I thought that was a good deal

That’s still a great deal. There are 3 other CTRs at my work, and everyone paid $42k and they are all 2019s.

WOOF with a capital W haha. I was told 6k over sticker when I first sat at the desk and immediately stood up to leave and that alone was worth a 4k cut apparently lol. Pinned two local dealers against one another until I felt like I squeezed as much as I could. Always get the offer in writing folks

It’s definitely worth it to wheel and deal. Dealerships hate it, but in the end, it’s your money. And this even shows that I didn’t play the accessory dance, where they give you a good price and make you buy like $2k in accessories. Before I bought my C7, I had my eye on a CW CTR at a different dealer. They had #00010 and thought it was made of gold. Wouldn’t even let me sit in it. And wouldn’t come off the $52k price tag. And this was when MSRP was $34k! I’m glad I waited. I saw the SGP in the European market and wanted this color, from day one. And I knew once I saw them in the US, I’d get one.

What the! $85 doc fee? Why is that most dealer I ran into (especially the VW ones) all want like $700 doc fee or $300 tag fee plus $400 doc fee all add up to like almost $1K for "doc" fees! That's the reason why I'm still waiting to pull a trigger on something. smh

Yeah, I got a homie hookup on this car, I believe. Some of the dealer fees are hard to avoid. I don’t care about $85 but $700 or more for a doc fee? Sweet Jesus. The $85 is probably the cost of pulling your credit, and other unnecessary bs. But I didn’t argue $85.

They discount it big time, but skyrocket the fees so ended up being slightly better than average.

I got mine salvaged with 8 miles on it. Price sticker on window... seats still wrapped in plastic all because the rims/tires were stolen.

24k

Got a used set of rims. Powder coated them Bronze new all season tires and I ended with a brank new Type R for less than 30k
