I never had any problems running hot until I was tracking my FK7 for more than 20 minutes. The ECU started cutting the throttle, and my coolant temp was around 220 F. I was running Zerex coolant with a stock radiator, and it was about 80 F ambient temperature. That's when I decided to upgrade my radiator.Just remember if you live in warmer climates you should run a 60/40 ratio of water/coolant to keep temps down
It's about a gallon with the 1.5T. When I flushed the OEM radiator a couple years ago, I don't think I got a whole gallon out. This time, with a radiator swap, I've put in exactly a gallon.I got this, haven't changed it yet. Does anybody know how many Gallons/Liters come out for a drain and fill? I have 2 gallons aka 7.56 Liters. And my pan holds 11 quarts.![]()
