android auto goes to spotify and not home whne plugged in

i don't use android auto to often ,but everytime i use it , it starts where the last song on spotify stopped. a few times it has gone to the home page , but i can seem to force it . once its in spotify i can't even find a way to get to the home page

so what am i doing wrong? do i have a setting wrong?

I haven't looked into the behavior. It does the same thing to me also.

To exit to the home page while on Spotify( or any Android auto app) click the white button on the bottom left corner. There should be a bunch of apps there and look for a White Honda logo that says "exit". That should send you back to the home screen

I think there is a resume last media or something setting. Play around with the settings. You can also download "aa for phone screens" and play around with the settings in your phone rather than in the hu.
