You will need 2 quarts.

Not sure where the two types of oil come from considering they both say "This fluid is backwards compatible with Honda Manual Transmission Fluid, P/N 08798-9016." with the same part numbers and same bottle label. Hm.

Thanks, ordered! Do you know if I need a replacement washer?

When you remove the drain bolt and you inspect the washer, if it is indented I would replace. The majority of the time it isn't required. Over torquing can cause indentations, just don't apply more than what is recommended - may just be 49Nm or 36ft/lbs. The washers are cheap anyway, no worry about that.

Make sure you can brake fill bolt loose first. It is darn tight from the factory.

Just did the switch yesterday, a breaker bar is a must for that fill bolt!

Is there a break-in period for the new fluid or anything? Thought it would be an immediate and obvious difference from all the rave reviews, but it doesn't feel that different from OEM. It's definitely smoother, and i'm not sure if it's placebo but I feel like the clutch engagement is a bit softer. However, I'm at least getting a bit more crunchiness with the actual gear lever trying to get into gear. Hoping it gets better with a few thousand miles and the weather warming up....

Current odo is about 34k miles. I poured exactly 2 quarts even though I've seen some people pour in more. I've got the stage 3 Acuity shifter + cable bushings installed too so I was hoping I'd be spreading butter but getting some lockouts in 1st and continued crunchiness in 2nd.

I need to do mine soon, where is the fill plug at? I'm new to this forum and have only done a little bit of searching.

Fill plug is on top, drain is on bottom. Same concept as oil change. You need a breaker bar for top
