Just showing out the fitment, Pretty great. I will say this is very close or even same as OEM Fitment.

However, compare to J's, the American Modified one is like half short pass the opening which give it kind of odd appearence.

Function wise, I don't believe either J's or Ebay or this have a different performance. It opens much more airflow then OEW and that's all.
Does it have the emblem mount like the J's?
Do you really need to remove the vertical beam? I thought the whole point of making this lookalike in half the depth of the J’s racing is for the ease of installation without changing anything?

Looks nice, would be cleaner if the condenser was painted black imo

Well, the thing comes without instruction, so I follow J's grille's instruction and cut the middle plastic piece. not a big deal at all and beside it looks nice.

Yeah I know, but you do need some sort of vertical support to keep the upper bumper from collapsing since there are too much opening without any support.

If you were to follow the real J's racing grill, they do provide a metal bar to reinforce the grill. Even the stock grill gives up because the vertical beam in the bumper cover gets deformed over time.

I believe the metal bar only comes when you buy the badge holder. So far haven't see any problem you mentions yet ( pass 5 months now), but will do some reinforcement in the future.

I see, and I didn't know it only comes with the badge holder.

Even the oem vertical beam of the bumper fails over time. I've been helping others by putting a metal plate here to make sure that the beam stands up in the up right position.

Honda knows the issue so they put more materials in the vertical beam of 2019 onwards.

It's always good to put more vertical structures in the grill to keep the top portion intact. The grill will pop out when the vertical beam is sagging.

This one doesn't even look like the J's Racing. There are replica out there that copied the J's Racing on ebay.

Looks pretty close to me...If it's not exact I can live with that and the $800 dollars I'll save.

The J's Racing style one is a cold copied version, but the fitment is crappier than J"s racing.
Here's the one that look like the J's racing. The opening on the J's Racing is a lot deeper than the AM.

What? There's a minor difference but it's basically copy of J's design. They even stole J's Racing promo photo and photoshopped it on their web page.

Whatever it is, it's trash.

I'll say the AM one is "inspired" by the J's Racing. There are a lot of differences namely the grill on J's Racing is a lot deeper into the intercooler, which is the reason that you have to remove the center support beam in the bumper cover to install the J's Racing Grill. Then the opening on the J's Racing is larger because the top portion is angled upwards to grasp more air.

Both are totally different.

Like I said. Minor differences. They’re using the damn J’s Racing picture on their website even. Shady shit.
