I already purchased it. I'm curious as why Acuity hasn't made something like this.
ACUITY considered a separate part but determined that it was best to just use zip ties. They have never been a company known to take short cuts so I tend to trust their judgement. Nothing against Alta, just answering the question at hand.

We may be straying a bit off topic here though, let’s keep the focus on Alta within this thread.

Is there any negative side effects from tension by the orings?
No not at all :) The shifter cable lock down actually fixes two separate rattling noises, one with the O-rings and the other with the body locking down the cable.

Honestly, I dont hear any click noise with the adapter going into even gears. The exhaust drowns any subtle click out.

I'm sorry about this! Yes red locktite is normal, but it looks like there was too much used :( If you have it installed you should be good with only one not being used, If for some reason you think its not holding or it comes loose contact me and i will send you out a replacement :)

Yes it is!! From the factory, the 10th Gen's come with enough of a rattle feeling and sound to be unpleasant. The ALTA Shifter Cable Lockdown firms up the cable to shifter housing mount and helps to hold the cables in a far more static position, eliminating the rattle.

We discovered this noise in the first couple of days owning our 10th gen’s, That is why we came up with this part!

Now adding the short shifter does amplify this noise but nothing crazy, the Shifter cable lockdown will help fix this ;)

Thomas,
How effective is the lockdown at eliminating the rattle on the stock SI shifter? I installed upgraded shifter base and cable bushings in an effort to eliminate it, but to no avail.

Also, does this get attached to the shifter cables on the engine bay side, or the shifter side?

It works great! this noise comes from the shifter "side" cable. Here is a link to check it out! Shifter Cable Lockdown

I did but I shouldn't be having issues with those

one screw will not budge at all
I had a few screws that didn't budge either but me and my buddy used a heat gun and they loosened right up.

@francomakou @LilToTo17 How noticeable is the improvement to the even-gear "crunch" with this lockdown? Mine definitely got a bit better when I installed base and cable bushings (went from shifting through a bag of loose gravel to more of a rumbling feeling), but I can still tell the difference between the random "crunchy" even shifts, and the occasional "smooth" even shifts. When it's a smooth shift, the shifter slides in gear like greased butter - the feeling is amazing. I want that to happen 100% of the time, and I'm hoping that this lockdown will accomplish that.

Got the Alta shift knob in end of last week and it is a work of art!

Looks beautiful, love the red trim piece, & man the weight of this thing! Hope it really cleans everything up in the shifter!
