This is one of the best DIY guides I've ever seen. Lots of great information in here even for those that have no intention of installing a setup like this. Well done!

By the way, no GPS or ground plate in my Sport hatch. Was hoping to move my SiriusXM antenna there after reading your guide.

Hey I bet you have the mounts for the ground plane... It's pretty nifty and shouldn't be very expensive.

Apparently you have to buy the whole antenna assembly to get the ground plane... 15$ at hondaprtscheap.com

@poodlejuice I read through your entire guide and it looks awesome! It looks like most of the bumper removal for the front was due to the radar antenna. If I were to only install the ALPs in the front, would I still need to remove the bumper?

Also, I see you have two sensor heads... do you ever feel that you need 3?

Thanks for writing this up. It's extremely helpful!

Hi, Kelton.
I’ve only been hit with radar once, and Inthink it was incidental. But that could change at any time. I get get by radar pretty often.

You don’t need to remove the front bumper to install the laser heads the way Indid, but you’ll probably need the long hemostats.

Good luck!

Looks awesome. Too bad I'm in the only state that criminalizes these.

Hey, Kelton...

sorry for my sloppy response! I've only been hit by LASER once. If I were installing the system right now, I'd go for three heads, and ALP has a special third head now, I don't remember what it's called.

Good luck,
PJ

Jammers are illegal in every US state as they are prohibited by the FCC. Detectors on the other hand are legal in most states.

I think it's important to note that RADAR jammers are illegal in every state as they're prohibited by the FCC... not LASER jammers.
