I am looking for stickier all season tires for the Touring

How about 245-45-17 or 275-40-17? Compared to stock, they are both 0.8% increase of diameter.

Anyone?
Stock is 215-50-17; surely someone would have upgraded the tires?

I am thinking to stay in 17-inch wheels. I would just go for lower profiled tires.

I bought a set of steel rims and bought 215/60/16's for the winter, I'll be continuing to run my 235/45/18's in the summer.

Tell me you can find 275-width tires that'll fit on stock rims.

Or -- what's the specs on the rims you want to buy?

I am not an expert with tires and this is why I asked the questions here.
OK. if 275-40-17 does not fix, how about 245-45-17?

For now, I do not plan on changing the wheels.

I suggest the Continental Extreme Contact DWS, awesome all weather tires (Dry Wet Snow) and they should have the sizing you're looking for.

The Continental Dws 06 is a very good tire and 245/45/17 would just fit on a 7 inch wide wheel that the stock Touring has. I have these tires in 18 inch and love them. If you go to Tirerack.com, you can find out what fits on 17x7 inch wheels. 245 is the widest you can go.

See marauderguy's post.

For future knowledge, go to the specifications for whichever tire you're looking at. You'll see a column for recommend rim widths for each size of tire.

The Kumho PS31 (somewhat related to the PA31 that Zooropa posted) in 275-45/17 needs a rim between 9" and 11" wide.
https://www.tirerack.com/tires/Spec...4WR7PS31&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes

Keep in mind that the Type-R's stock tires are 245-width already.

I prefer to stay with 17-inch because I do not want a harsh ride.

I rented a Hyundai Velostar last week and I did not like the car at all. Rear visibility was terrible and the ride was harsh probably because of the tires (225-40-28 Kumho Solus).

I have 235/40/18 on my Touring and I don't think it rides rough at all. However my old Accord Sport road much harsher with 18 inch tires. I was told so many times by my 9 year old son in the backseat. The weight of the wheel and rating of tire also plays a big part in it.

Pilot Sport AS3+ are fantastic, at least in 235/40/18.. ride, grip, steering response, etc.
