looking to create a new thread, where we can group all the available aftermarket performance mods for the 1.5T

Please post any information you come across that can help build this thread. As of right now I am only aware of Ingen's intake and CAT back. Magnaflow has given a preview of there CAT back and Mishimoto is in development for a oil catch can and there intake.

It really doesn't make any sense these days to get aftermarket products. Some of them actually just reduce your car's performance. If you want a sportier car then just get the actual sports trim. I remember the 90s when Honda sold Civics as an ordinary daily driver, there were no options but to go with aftermarket parts. Today there is an SI and Type R loaded with all the performance right out the door.

Some just like having a sleeper that looks completely stock on the outside with a little extra under the hood.

I LOVE Subaru's for this reason. You can take any of their turbo engines and easily get another 50 - 100 horsepower + from them.

Not to burst anyone's bubble here but we still have no idea when the Type R is coming out, and to be honest he SI's don't ever seem to be worth it, never have to me. As @Krispin said some people like the sleeper aspect. Someone needs to custom make an exhaust, that would really help allow the car to breathe better, plus that air intake. I would also like to see a tune happen sometime soon but I will wait on performance mods until I get the exterior right.

There wasn't a SI or type R to chose from in 2016, unfortunately

I almost went with a WRX over the civic. My deciding factor was MPG.

Type R and SI will hit Q4 of this year. There are now a few options Tune wise for the civics. Ktuner has a unit and hondadata have released there tune. I currently have a ktuner and will be getting a quote for a 2.5" or 3" exhuast done, while removing the stock CAT. Putting in place a high flow CAT where the resonater is. There is another form topic on here where I believe someone has reached 260hp+

SI isn't worth it? In what way?

The type R will be produced at a limited number. If you've got the money and you can get your hands in one, R over SI anyday. But for allot of people SI will be the best choice available. Considering that the SI in 2017 is expected to pack the same engine as the R, with a detuned turbo, SI might be the better way to save money. And with a few changes you'll have the type R power. I mean there's another form on here where the 1.5T has been brought up to 267hp, couple more tweaks and even the 1.5 could hit 300. Wouldn't recommend running 300hp through the 1.5 XD tho, if you drive it everyday.
