If you are doing it for looks maybe but gains just aren't there unless you got a big turbo setup. Even the 27won tip only nets you about 4-5whp on stock turbo and about 10-11whp on the w1.

many customers from Thailand and few from Malaysia has bought this Chinese inlet pipe but i think its not worth it to gain 4-5whp, only for bigger turbo setup.

is a cold air intake not also 3-4 hp gains untuned? and most cost around 300-400 dollars...

It looks like a less smooth path for airflow.

But a cold air intake actually nets you cooler temp air vs just a larger pipe for slightly increased air flow.

Airflow restriction on a stock turbo system exists more from the dp.

Of course, very well known that the dp and fp are restrictive on this platform. Power to be had there. So, you are also not a fan of the 27won TIP either then? It's bigger, made of cast aluminum vs. The plastic so it probably retains more heat than the stock plastic pancake pipe.

Well I have the w1 turbo so I got some decent gains by upgrading to the TIP. About 10whp. Its a mix tbh. Although I do think it may take longer for it to get hotter vs plastic (but we only think its hotter just because metal conducts heat better than plastic).

CAI really help in reducing IAT and by gaining some power like 10-15hp from tuning, also give better sound.

I wonder what that CAI will really do paired with a non-pancake/waffle TIP?

Per 27won on their TIP:
On an OEM Turbocharger setup the gains from the install of the 27WON Turbo Inlet Pipe (TIP) are small. This is because the factory equipped turbo is so tiny and undersized, it's the bigger flow restriction. Testing across multiple SI trim Civic's showed us an average net gain of 2.2hp and 3.4wtq.

gain of 2.2hp and 3.4wtq is on civic si, i guess more gain on non-si civic 1.5T as civic si inlet pipe is slightly bigger than non si civic.

KTuner is a crazy good value then

Sure is, love mine and my TSP tune.

Yes, although the welds do look like shit, this item is 100 dollars. so if it gains anything in conjunction with a CAI and a tune. probably worth it. I wonder if it also decreases spool time...
