Hi
Just bought a 2020 Civic Hatchback Sport and noticed that the light for air source stays on even when the air is off. Is this normal?

That is whether you like the air vent to be closed or not.
Well physically I cannot get either of these lights to turn off. I can only switch between the two.

Yes that is the thing. Either you like the air in the cabin to be recirculated or get outside fresh air even with the windows closed.

That's normal.. it's meant so that you can see & change the vent closure on the fly while driving.

The older cars I've driven only had recirculating buttons and obviously fresh air by default so found it odd to see buttons for both when one could of done the job.

Yeah, it seems odd to me too. I have no light on when the air is coming from the outside, which is the normal mode. And there is no separate icon for air from outside. Seems like a redundant indicator light and a wasted space. Instead of that, I would rather have an indicator light that comes on whenever the AC compressor clutch is actually engaged.

Interesting, on the dual auto climate control the far left button (your air recirc) is a “on/off” button and your fresh air button is my air recirc button lol
