Just took my 2017 in for the AC system. They said they had to do a recharge first and then look for the leak with a dye. They called me the same day saying they couldn't find a leak. It probably took almost a year for the entire system to leak as last year it wasn't blowing super cold air. I'm sure there will be a visible leak after a few days of driving around. For a 5 year old car it shouldn't be out of refrigerant unless there's a leak.It takes months for there to be enough of a leak for it to blow warm air again. If there is staining from the dye, that’s all the proof necessary. My car was held overnight and they replaced the part next day. I didn’t pay a single cent. I had my condenser done twice now. FREE. You have crappy dealers.
