Feel like some of you guys would be able to answer this, would I be able to run 17x9 +12 on a Civic Sport or am I cutting it too close?

Suspension: Eibach springs & sway bars. SPC control arms & ball joints.
Wheel Specs: Gram Lights 57Transcend 18x9.5 +38
Tires: Michelin PS4S 245/40x18

Getting ready to do all alignment with custom specs, then take to Mid Ohio for some quality track time. The looks and stance turned out exactly how I had hoped.

Excellent! How is the fitment? Did you have to do any modifications?

I was so ready to pull the trigger on D2 springs, after seeing your pics Eibachs may be the way to go. your setup looks absolutely perfect, considering the only diff between our setups is coupe vs sedan

Thank you. Fitment is fantastic. I didn't have to do any modifications to anything, but time at the track here in a few weeks will be the final test on that. I added the SPC parts so that we can make some slight camber adjustments for track use.

Thank you. I went with the Eibachs because they had the least amount of drop, and I wanted to limit clearance issue for track use.

Interesting, I was wanting to wait for the sportline specific to SI but I may just pull the trigger on the prokit. I have a set of 18 / 9.5 / +35 coming in the mail. Besides pulling the tab, I really did not want to do any major modifications. Your offset is awfully close to mine but mine will poke ever so slightly more than yours. I guess we will see after I install the wheels. I am going to be running a funny non lowered set up for a while till I figure out how to lower.
Very nice set up! I hope mine looks that good. I really wanted to do 38 offset but it did not come in the TS-10 I wanted.

Asking for a "good offset" is kind of vague. It will depend on a lot of other factors like if you are lowered and how much, wheel width, tire size and exactly what stance you're looking for.

I copied this from earlier in the thread, forgive me, I didn't copy the name down

Here are some rough numbers for flush fitment (w/o using stupid camber or stretched tires)
- 8 in = ~+30 mm
- 8.5 in = ~+35 mm
- 9 in = ~+40 mm
- 9.5 in = ~ +45 mm

Also depends on wheel brand
Search on this forum for that certain brand
You’re looking to buy
use that as a guide line and go from there.

Write it down on paper or make notes
Example...

Wheel + brand
Wheel size + offset.... price
Tire brand + size.... price

Love... like.. it’s okay.. maybe
Next to it.. then narrow it down

Should take a week of research and you’ll
Become an amateur wheel guy.
