If anyone has any of these aftermarket tail lamps can you let me know your experience with them. Also can you post photos or videos of them on this thread, so I get a better real world idea of what they are like. I can't decide on which to choose. Th

Smoked taillights.

Is that smoke color almost black or is it a dark grey in the daytime? Some that I see for sale make the smoke color look jet black.

It's pretty dark, some angles might look darker or lighter depending on the light.

Looks good with the blue. Thank you for sharing. I wish the tint was just a tad lighter because my car is silver and I don't want to strong of a contrast. Love the diffuser.

I got the Seametal Smoke LED tals off eBay during one of the site wide 15% off deals.
I haven't had any issues with them since installing and I love the look. When i did the install I did wrap the shit out of the cabling with electrical tape to prevent any moisture shorts. So far, it's gone through two upstate NY winters.

Videos make them out a little more orange. They're much more red in person.

Thanks guys for this. This helps a lot. Still on the fence. I wish they made a tail lamps for our generation in this style minus the chrome.

I wish the manufacturers made nice ones that didn’t have sequential turns. Just my one gripe, and why I haven’t bought a pair myself yet lol.

The sequential turn signals is what makes running them cool in my opinion, Makes the car look more high end.
It’s just personal preference. I’ve always thought sequential turns made cars look cheaper lol.

I chose using LED bulbs for the brake lights, turn signals (rear), and reverse lights. I like them because I simply removed the incandescent bulbs and replaced them with the LED bulbs.

Benefit:
1. Instantaneous lighting response.
2. Bright, and crisp.
3. No error codes or hyper flashing.
4. No modification to the original assembly or wiring.

The thread on this forum from the sponsor is here: https://www.civicx.com/forum/threads/10th-gen-civic-coupe-turn-signals-brakes-reverse-leds.27111/

I like the Mugen tail lamp assemblies, but I wish they incorporated usage of the small LED assemblies located on the hatch lid. As of right now, the Mugen kit replaces the functional OEM LED lid assemblies with similar assemblies without lights.

I ended up getting these Vland tail lamps. I actually like a lot of the aftermarket tail lamps, but wanted something close to the stock look. When I installed my left blinkers are hyper flashing. Did any of you Experience this? Do I need to put load resisters on that side or both?

You'll need to put a load resistor on every bulb installed, ie: two taillights = 2 resistors etc...
ijdmtoy used to make bulb socket adapters with resistors built in but they aren't listing the one for 7440/7443 bulbs anymore.

I’ve had my tail lights installed for a few months now and I absolutely love them. The start up animation is great, and the single led design looks the cleanest to me of any of the aftermarket ones I’ve seen. At $279 a set it’s a great bargain!
