Hi everyone, purchased my first car on my own last Sunday July 29! Perfect timing with the end of the month. Was hunting for a white or lunar silver sedan but always eyed the blue. Saw there was a blue at the South Bay Honda which is very close to where I live so had to see it in person. My best friend worked for Acura so he told me all the sales tricks and to cross shop all dealers in the area, after a week of playing hard to get I got a fair price for a brand new si 2018 with 17 miles!!!

Installed interior leds on the two map lights, rear passenger and trunk, install was easy. Picked up amazon basics car panel tool and some basic bulbs there too. Will test out other bulbs. They seem to leave a 1% dim when I have the lights off but on “door” mode. Anyone experience this?

Happy with the clean handsome look it gives the interior.

Purchased OPT7 led headlights and fog lights. Heard plenty of good things about them. I went with the entry level didn’t want to fork over 100 plus just yet. They sent with USPS priority free of charge. Packaging was clean and tight. Will install later tonight with comparison photos.

$131.00 otd

Was able to install the OPT7 led lows as well as the fogs. You will need a 10mm for the fogs, 4 nuts then 3 plastic clips. The passenger side is a little more tough, don't be afraid to retract the plastic back.

this is a comparison of stock halogen to the OPT7.

3/4 of the way done, just need to get the passenger fog

So much more handsome...

Had my friend bring my car around the block, needed to see a point of view

Bright AF, can't complain. I'm super happy!!!

Overall great product. Took around 1 hour, I'm sure if you did this in the day time would be a lot faster. You'll need a 10mm, flat head, gloves if ur into that and that's about it. Plenty of youtube videos to reference. OTD price was 131.00 free priority shipping. This job woulda been ~200-300 at any shop, glad labor was all done in house.

Thanks! At the moment no, I’m still breaking in the car, babying it rather. This project will be mostly cosmetic / aesthetic. But we shall see, time will tell!

First car wash. Used meguiars gold class car wash and dried with their wax and dry spray. Didn’t do any special polishing or waxing. Still researching and learning more about that before I pull the trigger on anything. Also used meguiars endurance tiring dressing (loved this product in the past on my 2 GTIs). *first photo is taken on my iPhone X*

Photo taken with my Fujifilm camera. Love how this car looks in the shade. Muted blues but still pops with glares.

Photos will never do this color justice..

Look at that soon to be fresh smooth asphalt!!! Evergreen, San Jose, CA tax dollars finally going somewhere. This past year seriously almost all street lights in my neighborhood have gone to bright white LED. Redid a lot of sidewalk ramps and lots of streets are getting work done. *Tysm*

Trip up to Napa, bumper plugs installed. You’ll need a drill with a 9/32 bit. First “semi long” trip!
