done quite a bit today, i tackled the dash next after yesterdays finished shifter upgrade. Got all of the dash complete. Next is going to be the steering wheel and center console finalization before i button it up.

i haven't decided if i wanna keep the red theme on the screens to match the gauges or swap it back to blue - but that's software changes.. super easy to do. Unfortunately, fighting with the "start stop" panel not lining up right, the gauge cluster piece scratched up on one of the brackets for the steering column :/ its minute enough to not worry about. but the scratch is there. I do have a touch up paint piece if it does bother me but ill probly leave it. .. Overall i think this turned out alot better than i hoped it would.

i really like how the brushed metal looking touring trim panels worked out, alot better than my black hexagon design the car came with

On a little side note, the passenger airbag light always bugged me at how bright it was, i bought a sample piece from a headlight tint place on eBay.. ended up cutting a square piece out and shoving it into the air bag light module.. it darkened it up considerably. I haven't taken it out for a drive at night yet but.. I suspect its definitely dark enough now that it doesn't glare at me like somethings wrong.

I have swapped out the steering wheel trim, unfortunately i slightly scratched the airbag on the top, ( any tips to fix it? ) and the factory silver trim near the top right. ( that trim only matters if i go back or sell that trim. ) However i feel overall the interior is really coming together quite nicely.

Also, no more "piano black" on the lower part of my steering wheel as i used the 2016 trim piece :)

i ended up buying a kit from www.paintscratch.com , whole kit ran about $100 , includes adhesion promoter, base, color, and clear coat cans too... but i got 2 of the paint cans for my color instead of some of the other things they wanted to add on. This project has turned out quite well - heres some pictures

I was toying around with the idea of using the older Silver trim as my trim is the new sport hexagon shape solid black one.. however i decided to go with the sport hatchback touring panels with my paint to match trim pieces.. other than a slightly amatuerish clear coat, i cant ask for a closer paint match. I actually impressed myself with that spray paint job.
Well done ??

Thank you guys, i bought all the parts extra, either new or from junkyards when i had trouble sourcing them ( the shifter assembly trim panel was a problem ) but some parts i wanted to be in good shape such as the "black aluminum" 3 panels - plus they are from 2020 hatchbacks, so i didnt have any used market for them when i did this. i still havent buttoned up the last wing panels around the radio yet, still debating when to install all the LED lighting in the floorboards and the door panels i bought from japan. thats a project id rather have multiple days for again and with pilot training taking place all this month, its not going to happen this month. plus i have a JL Audio system to install while things are all torn apart. A project for a cooler season.
