Some interesting facts on tracking the type-r
In August I did the following wheel/tire setup
ENKIE TS5 BLACK 5X120 18X9.5 +45 tires: 265/35/18 CONTINENTAL SPORT
I had HP PLUS SPORT PADS - ENHANCED COMPOUND installed at about 54000

Now I have a reference point I took to Honda for an oil change on 8/09 mileage 59154
When they did the customary measurements
all tires were at 9/32nds
all brake pads were at 10mm

Now fast forward, I took back to the Honda for an oil change on 12/1 mileage 65381.
Front tires were at 5/32nds
Rear tires were at 6/32nds
Front Brakes were at 4mm
Rear Brakes were at 5mm

So what is this saying.
In that time I did two track events
Mid-Ohio where I did 62 which I did 54 laps (115 minutes / 130 miles track distance 2.4 miles with chicane)
Atlanta Motorsport Park which I did 62 laps (111 minutes / 158 miles track distance 2.54 miles)

1) Decent tires 320 treadwear vs what ever I had before
2) More confidence in driving a front wheel drive car (I also track a 370Z)
3) the HP Plus Sport pads - enchanced compound maybe not for heavy tracking.

So in all I have done about 205 laps tracking in the type-r this year.

Just some facts, for people if they wonder the wear and tear on a car tracking.
