Is it possible to add paddle shifters to a car that doesn’t have them?

My opinion: They shouldn’t even exist on this car

What I’ve heard: It’s not worth the effort to install them on one that doesn’t come with them already.

If you desperately want paddle shifters, get a Sport. ;)

Honestly, paddle shifters on a CVT may simulate a bit of engine braking but they're not going to be an improvement acceleration-wise over what you currently have. Plus, the cars with paddle shifting are missing the "secret weapon" L mode which gives the best acceleration of all.

I’m simply asking if you know how hard it is to install lol. Not anything else.

I'm not sure if the electrical connection exist or not, but it’s one of the later steps in the steering wheel replacement. Depending on how good you are it should probably take an hour or two.

Without a paddle shifters good luck with a dyno tune or dyno results.

IDK what you’re talking about. Hondata developed their flashpro for the 10th gen civic 1.5t using the touring sedan without the paddle shifter.

Uh I'm talking about DYNO TUNING not street email tuning, even drob himself said its impossible to get a dyno results from a 10th gen civic cvt that doesn't have paddle shifters

If you have EX, you have a L and S. No need for paddle shifter, you got the better one!
Now, if you are just wanting a arcade feel and something to touch... just go get yourself a Logitech and play a game or hold on to the auto shifter and most importantly... the wheel at all times :p

I really don't understand the community's dislike of paddle shifting, I use it quite a bit and it's a lot of fun. While it is true that the CVT does its job very well, but you can have almost complete control of the RPM and simulated gear that you want to have. I guess many people have not tried it and hence the rejection
