I always try to find a shell (93 octane). But today, I stopped at a gas station with 92. Didn’t end up filling up.

Is 91 or 92 acceptable for long term use?

Yes, especially if you are running the stock ECU calibration.

87 or higher octane is required. Damaged caused by the use of less than 87 octane won't be covered under warranty.

91 or higher octane is recommended. The engine won't produce as much peak power at or near wide-open throttle if using 87 instead of 91, but you won't notice it during normal driving.

Ultra 93 from Sunoco for me as well. Now that it's top tier, you can't go wrong.

Yeah I don't really have a gas station brand preference, so I end up putting 91 or 93 in it. Again, unless I'm at WOT and high RPM I'll probably never notice the difference, but I started with Premium fuel so I'm going to continue.

wait so with a higher octane fuel you actually don't benefit from it @ WOT? I never knew that.

I "think" he meant that with 91 vs 93 octane, the 91 won't produce as much peak horsepower at WOT but you won't notice during normal driving. We only have 91 in Oklahoma but when I go to Texas I always fill up with 93 and feel a better more consistent pull when punching it on the on-ramps.

You can get 93 at Red Rock fuel on 50th just east on 235, and also at RS Fuel on Memorial just west of May.

I actually just stopped there this morning on my way to work. $4.50 a gallon at Red Rock. Went ahead an filled up though, haha. I'll have to go check out RS Fuel this weekend and see if their prices are any better.

In California we only have 91. However there is One Station near me that sells "Racing Fuel"

I'm always tempted to fill up with 80% 91 Octane and the rest of the tank "100 Octane Racing Fuel"

Would that equal 93?

Yeah, that'd be right about 93.
