Looking at some wheels, both sets of wheels I like are 8.5" wide but you can get them with either a +35 or a +45 offset, I have found several pictures on here of guys running +35 on an 8.5" wide wheel but not seeing any +45 offset wheels in that width, is anybody running them? are there clearance issues?

Need to order the wheel TONIGHT (like in the next 4-5 hours) before the DiscountTireDirect 15% rebate deal ends.

For 8.5”, you will be safe on +45 if you consider to install lowered spring down the road. +35 will rub a bit unless remain in stock suspension.

the stock mud flaps behind my front wheels scrape if I back into my driveway, so not gonna be doing any lowering. really just wanting to see what a +45 offset looks like since it's almost a half inch further in if my math is right.

Stock offset is +45. The difference would be that the aftermarket +45 wheel is 1-1/2" wider than stock. That would poke out 3/4" further than stock.

Here's the info on +35 offset and a 8.5" wheel (235/40 tires) compared to your stock setup. You'd be pushing things out about 1.2" from stock (that's fairly aggressive):

The +35 would poke out another 4/10" beyond that setup.

Yes I understand all that, I'm more wanting to SEE what a +45 on an 8.5" wheel looks like on these cars, to me +38 looks to be the perfect offset but these wheels are only in +35 and +45 so I want to see what that 4/10" less poke looks like to see if I like it better.

This was a PITA to find for you but 18x8.5, +45 on 235/40. It's lowered but you can see the stance anyway. I like it.

If you went +35 at stock height it may not look great. Personally I think lower offset setups like that look better lowered.

THANK YOU SO MUCH, I've spent countless hours trying to find a picture like that on here, looks perfect, will go with +45 offset. Thanks.

well I guess Discounttiredirect doesn't want any business tonight, site was down and now that it's back up I can't add anything to my cart.

Just a quick update, in case someone else runs into this, one of my adblockers called "uBlock Origin" was what was disabling the add to cart and feedback buttons on the discounttiredirect website

I’m rocking +35 on stock height and I dig the look, but if I had to do it all again I would probably stick to +40/45 to keep the scrub radius down a bit. No rubbing problems, but the handling of the car changes quite a bit and the steering becomes more numb.

What do you guys think about an 18x8 ET35? The wheels I'm looking at dont come in 18Ă—8.5 and 18.9 seems a bit much for DD. I would like to keep the handling intact but with a bit better look. My other option in that size for offset is ET45
