For those of you running a 5/6 point harness with proper harness bar or cage, where are your mounting points for all parts of the harness? Pics for reference will be very much appreciated.

Just want to see where y’all are mounting these and how you’re routing through your seat.

Cheers.

Anyone?

Looking like for the driver side lap belt, it should be using an eyelet bolt to mount the OEM 3-point belt as well as allow the 6-point lap belt mount.

And for the buckle side, a bolt on mount looks to be preferred, mounted to the seat bracket itself. https://www.evasivemotorsports.com/store/product/schroth-racing-rallye-end-bolt-on-kit/

Still have questions on the anti-sub belts, as they are just straps. Seems like it needs something like this, mounted to the front seat bolts. https://www.evasivemotorsports.com/store/product/schroth-racing-sub-strap-bolt-on-kit/

5 point and 6 point are mount the same way. One rail attached to the seat for the belt go below the seat. 2 sides using factory bolts or some bented mounting plates(left side usually, right side reuse the factory bolt)
and 2 goes to the back of your cage or harness bar.

So bottom line is this. The belts must be mounted to either a cage, properly installed harness bar, or the vehicles body (stock seat belt mounting locations). You want the belts independent of the seat or seat mount so as to have a built in failure redundancy. i.e. if the seat or seat mount fails your belts are still fully attached and functional.

Of course this is difficult in a non purpose built race car and sometimes compromises must be made. What are those? Depends on individual situation and acceptance of risk vs. reward of installing the belts. I'm not saying mounting belts to the seat mounts is not a common practice or inherently dangerous...just that its not the "correct" method.

Appreciate all the feedback guys.

After some consulting, I think I’ve got all mounting points figured out.

I certainly will update this thread when it’s done!
Saw the seat/harness was of sale...staying stock or did you find another solution?

Looking at using the USR harness bar possibly. But also might just stay stock.
