Congrats on 40k! Having any issues? I'm just under 27k and she drives like day 1...
Other than a couple querky infotainment glitches, works great 99% of the time, and the piston clip recall that did not affect me everything is great!
Only maintenance 3 oil changes, tire rotations and air filters, engine and cabin.
I love it!

just rolled over 36k had to call Honda roadside to jump start the battery. alternator is still charging it, though... weird. Also my accessory socket just stopped working and it's not the fuse, already checked, going to have dealer check it out soon. about time to replace the tires which is about expected. overall everything is good except those two little quirks.

When did your maintenance minder ask for air filters? At 30k I assume

I bought mine 12-4-15 and it has a little over 18,000

Mine shot the A12 code up at like 23k, so it was scheduled for my 3rd oil change that will come at roughly 30k. I checked them around 24k and they were really filthy, so I changed them early.

I'm at 18k and I'm at 40% maint minder my service will probably be around 20-21K. It says A1. So I'm guessing after that the 2 code will come for the air filters, so around 28-30k ish. I haven't checked them, you think I'll be fine till it asks for it?

It depends on where you drive, its simple enough to check and if its dirty swap it out.

Got my EX-T in April, currently at 24k miles, 5 oil changes. No major issues either other than infotainment stuff, which they admitted they cannot fix and I am SOL, but whatever, it's a lease.

Where do you buy your air and cabin air filters? Also is it easy to change the air filter? My '07 Civic had simple clips for removing the cover for the air filter but I don't see that on my '16 Civic.

College Hills Honda - http://www.collegehillshonda.com/category/2016-2017-honda-civic-sedan-maintenance-parts.html

It's easy. Four screws that hold the air filter housing together. Cabin air filter even easier, took 2 minutes.

Bad video but it shows the location -
