2020 Si Sedan, observed this morning...

6th gear:
2500rpm = 63mph
3000rpm = 74mph
3250rpm = 80mph

That’s perfectly fine for highway cruising under most circumstances. The motor does have a hint drone at 3k rpm even with sport mode off, but that’s a byproduct of the tuned induction noise.

Honda could have left out the induction noise and added 200 pounds of sound insulation, but at that point it would be an Acura for a different target demographic.

Motor doesn’t have enough boost for “energetic” driving until >4000rpm. 6th is totally adequate for fuel efficiency.

Had this thread on my mind when I was driving on the highway yesterday. Mine is a 2020 and it was teetering between 74-75mph at 3000 rpm in 6th.

I drive quite a bit of highway. Yea cruising at 90 it’s whining a lil bit but what 4cyl isn’t at that speed? its much better than the 02 rsx I came from
