From the image you can see the metal gasket at the bottom pretty clear, so I'd say the fluid it looks good and likely changed recently. What it looked like when the dealer changed it is an unknown. I personally don't think the stock transmission should have much gear noise except for reverse, but you'll have to decide to take it in and get the dealership's opinion or find another Civic to compare with. I only noticed gear noise when I installed mounts and upgraded my gears.

I think it’s best I just wait I still got over 30k miles of warranty but wear looked “normal” to my eyes I drained all the fluid and there were tiny tiny particulate of metal at the bottom of the drain pan

Also I’m quite surprised with pennzoil syncromesh so far the gears didn’t feel crunchy like they did before time will tell if that feeling lasts though guess I’ll upload phearable 1.5 again and enjoy the car

Why did you choose pennzoil syncromesh instead of Honda MTF-3?

My gearbox has transformed into a nice feeling transmission for the first time I’ve owned this car for the last 2 months I’m pretty thrilled about it besides the whine being there but I didn’t see anything crazy come out of the oil. I may throw in amsoil or gm syncromesh in the future to try those out

Anything is better than that garbage mtf id rather run dog water in my gearbox
i think it's a good oil. maybe not thick enough for track sessions but very smooth for daily driving. fluid always comes out clean as the day i put it in.
