There's no difference in sound.

Get the street if you plan to stay stock turbo. Get the race if you're planning on a turbo upgrade.

Yep, I'm doing the same right now. Getting the clutch sorted first. Theres no real risk to using the Race MAF on a stock turbo, just your fuel trims will be a bit more erratic under certain conditions.

Yeah. STFT jumps around a fair bit during throttle in/throttle out. My LTFT is good but others have bigger swings. Seems to be a difference in the way Pherable has theirs set up and my custom recalibration.

As noted above, Street MAF works for like 80% of people. When you are FBO and ready to start cranking on a big turbo and more boost then a RACE MAF is a good upgrade at that point. I don't suggest a RACE MAF on a stock or lightly modded car.

There is a noticeable difference in sound, throatier throughout the whole band. I definitely miss that, but as mentioned here I couldn’t get the ltft in check with the maf scaling in either the base tunes or the phearable tune so I went back to the street maf.

Wow. I was planning on getting the 27WON CAI with race MAF, and later add TIP and W1 or W2. Thought that after CAI with race MAF I would simply have to convert my TSP Stage1 tune to 27WON race MAF tune and all would be good. No I'm rethinking.
