I think I will email him and ask.
Yeah I mean all the non si's car's he tuned with W1 turbo max out at 6500 rpm and there is also not enough airflow because the turbo inlet for your car is smaller than Si's as well.

Do you know this for a fact or are you assuming this because of dynos you have seen?

Both turbo inlets pipes were tested at 25” of H20 and converted to 28” of H20 via the SuperFlow software.

- Non-SI Turbo Inlet Pipe: Steady-state flow of 407.0 CFM @ 28” H2O (2.06 in-Hg)

- SI Turbo Inlet Pipe: Steady-state flow of 414.3 CFM @ 28” H2O (2.06 in-Hg)

First shocker…the delta between the SI and the Non-SI is much smaller than we expected. It appears that the “pancake” section does make a difference but the difference is not significant. From this single data point we say it’s not worth buying the SI turbo inlet pipe as an upgrade but go ahead and swap it out if you can pick up a SI version for free
From HERE

So the difference of 7.3cfm means not enough airflow for the the non-si? According to THIS site 7.3cfm is about .47hp. Maybe I'm missing something. :hmm:

He sets it at that but only for Si’s. The non Si’s can only be set at 6500rpm because of it’s internals being different than that of the Si
I finally got around to asking DRob about this and it is true. He said the DIFP spring is weaker, and rods are weaker on the non-Si stuff so he doesn't rev them as far.

Are you able to hit 60 in second gear with the redline raised?

Yeah I get like 59-60mph. But I do have W1 turbo, fbo, and custom tuned by DRob too.
